On 21 May the Desna River Basin Authority held a workshop for its employees.

Attendees of the meeting got familiarised with the different steps of River Basin Management Plan (RBMP), with state water monitoring and the mechanism of issuing online permissions for special water use.

Experts shared their knowledge on pressures and impacts analyses, on protected areas existing within the Desna river basin district and on how important these territories are. They also shared their experience in the development of a pilot sub-basin for the Upper Dnipro of Ukraine (developed in the framework of the previous EU water project: EPIRB).

The EUWI+ project started close cooperation with Desna River Basin Authority. Oksana Konovalenko (project representative) had the opportunity to take part in the event and to make a presentation for the participants.
