On 31 January 2019, in Chisinau, Moldova, will held the 2nd workshop on River Basin Management Plan development for Danube Prut and Black Sea River District. It will take place at the Water Agency “Apele Moldovei”.
The workshop dedicated to the river basin team gathering specialists from Integrated Water Resources Management Department of the Ministry ARDE, the “Apele Moldovei” Agency (AAM), the Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources (AGMR), the Environmental Agency, the Basin Water Management Unitare, aims:
To understand and master the next steps of River Basin Management Plan development for the current year;
To coordinate the on-going contract on the Danube-Prut and Black Sea River District (delineation, characterisation and RBMP);
To prepare next steps, including basin stakeholder’s involvement and the wide public consultation,
To continue closer cooperation with Romanian planners from National Agency “Apele Romane” for the Prut river basin in the line with WFD;
To discuss about technical aspects: harmonise the water bodies used on the Prut river course with Romania; to facilitate further cooperation on their monitoring; To build consensus on the option used for the identification of vulnerable zones; to wrap up the characterisation of a River Basin District based on the technical summary.
