"Water for the Future" is an open dialogue between civil servants and students
On March 22, 2018, The State Agency of Water Resources, in the framework of the World Water Day, organizes a thematic meeting "Water for the Future" with the student youth. During the open dialogue, students will have a unique opportunity to learn about the small rivers of Kyiv, in particular, the Khreshchatyk River, to watch a video about Ukrainian rivers and their basins, to hear unique facts about the water resources of Ukraine and the world.
Different events are planning to be conduct round Ukraine to celebrate World Water Day.
The exhibition of pictures and photographs of participants of the International Basin Competition "Colors of the Dniester" and the creative competition "Seversky Donets - the eyes of youth" will be organised at the State Water Agency.
The State Agency of Water Resources will print their own stamps. Design competion was organised early this year. And now it is announced that the winners are Yurii Boikov (Kakhovka) and Nataliia Khriienko (Velyka Skeliova).
Department of Hydrology and Hydro-Ecology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv organises a meeting for students-hydrologists.
Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation organises a National Scientific Conference “Water for Nature”. The aim of this conference is to draw attention to the problems of water bodies status and the shortage of drinking water, the need of conservation and rational use of water resources. World Water Day focuses on the issues of importance of the general acces to clean water and sustainable management of water resources.
