Armenia, National Stakeholder Consultation meeting on the Protocol on Water and Health and equitable access to water supply and sanitation in Armenia, Yerevan, 19 February 2019

A National Stakeholder Consultation meeting on the UNECE/WHO Europe Protocol on Water and Health and equitable access to water supply and sanitation will be held on 19 February 2019 in the “Ani” Plaza Hotel, Yerevan within the framework of the European Water Initiative plus program. The meeting will be hosted by the Water Resources Management Agency of the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia, the Ministry of Health and the Water Committee of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources.

The aim of the meeting is to present and discuss the results of a baseline analysis for setting national targets under the Protocol, and the priorities and draft national targets derived from this baseline analysis in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Meeting participants will also review the implementation of the 2018-2020 Action Plan on equitable access to water supply and sanitation in Armenia and will exchange ideas on legislative barriers and legal amendments needed to ensure equitable access to water supply and sanitation in the country.
