Regional workshop on the new and changed requirements of the international standard for laboratory accreditation, Tbilisi, Georgia

The objective of this two days regional workshop is to provide details of the new version of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) and to highlight key changes and identify requirements that are new, revised or deleted in comparison to the old ISO/IEC 17025:2005 edition (general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling). This workshop will be of benefit for participants who are already familiar with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and who are looking to understand the changes that have been made. Additionally, it will enable participants to raise awareness of the revised structure of ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 and its function as a framework for demonstrating competence. The regional workshop addresses the designated accredited partner laboratories in Belarus, Georgia, and Moldova in particular laboratory personnel responsible for the transposition of their existing quality management system and shall help them to comply with the requirements of EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for laboratory accreditation. The training workshop has an interactive approach with both theoretical inputs and practical exercises in group works for the participants.
